The Age Of Micropop is a book about the new generation of Japanese artists written by Japanese art critic Midori Matsui. She wrote about the concept of “micropop” and artists in the exhibition “The Door into Summer: The Age of Micropop” in Contemporary Art Center, ART TOWER MITO, Ibaraki,Japan,in 2007.
The Age Of Micropop describes the concept of Micropop : small-scale avant-garde and Yoshitomo Nara is one of the Micropop artists. Besides Yoshitomo Nara, other the Micropop artists who joined the exhibition includes Shimabuku Michihiro, Aoki Ryoko, Ochiai Tam, Noguchi Rika, Sugito Hiroshi, Arima Kaoru, Aya Takano, Mori Chihiro, Izumi Taro, Kunikata Mahomi, Oki Hiroyuki, Handa Masanori and K.K.
